This is a demo of a song that's incubating, but seeing as this is the Solstice, here it is.

The nights are getting longer,
and the days have all grown cold
the trees have lost their leaves,
and the earth she looks so old
Low angled rays of light,
make the shadows grow so long,
The sun looks half as bright,
and it's heat feels half as strong

Those playful days of summer,
they seem so far away
The snowy cold of winter,
feels like it's here to stay

But in the third week of December,
when the suns so far away
The days start getting longer,
after Solstice day
